STRATEGY AND FUTURE DIRECTION SAS development strategy includes addressing integrated development efforts with emphasis on rights based facilitation; Developing grassroots partnership through alliance building with civil society and local actors; formation and capacity enhancement of CBOs to meet the people participation and demand driven development; effectively resource mobilization through optimal use of local resources, knowledge and experience, expertise, technology and opportunities; cost-sharing by local community for program operation as avenue of ownership creation on development impact; Result oriented programming to enforce wider accountability; Reshuffling organizational set up according to program needs and priorities and Retention of environmentally sound development enterprises. SAS came into being in 1999 as a consequence of out standing social work of a number of young people and it started function by involving the poor and vulnerable women in small-scale income generating activities. This organization is growing gradually by implementing need-based program on learning by doing basis within the transition period and the extent of work is increasing day by day. |
